استانداردهای IEC

استانداردهای IEC
سازمان IEC که در سال ۱۹۰۶ با همت دانشمندان، متخصصان و مجامع الکتروتکنیک کشورهای مختلف تأسیس شده است، وظیفه تدوین و انتشار استانداردهای بین المللی IEC در حوزه گسترده برق و الکترونیک و زمینه های مرتبط را بر عهده دارد .مقر این سازمان تا سال ۱۹۴۸ در شهر لندن بود که از آن سال به بعد به شهر ژنو در کشور سوئیس منتقل شد. با توجه به روند جهانی ایجاد هماهنگی در استانداردهای ملی کشورهای مختلف و پذیرش هرچه بیشتر استانداردهای بین المللی از جمله IEC به عنوان پایه استانداردهای ملی و مبنای فعالیتهای ارزیابی انطباق و گواهی محصولات برقی والکترونیکی به منظور تسهیل تجارت بین المللی، درشرایط حاضر بیشترین تلاش کشورها مصروف مشارکت فعال درمراحل تدوین استانداردهای بین المللی می شود . بدین لحاظ اکثر استانداردهای ملی کشورهای مختلف هم اینک به طور فزاینده ای براساس و معادل با استانداردهای IEC می باشند.

سازمان IEC هم اکنون دارای ۸۱ کمیته ملی عضو (اصلی و وابسطه) از کشورهای مختلف می باشد و با احتساب ۸۱ کشور در حال توسعه ای که هنوز به عضویت این سازمان در نیامده اند ولی با آن در ارتباط می باشند، تعداد کشورهای عضو و مرتبط آن به ۱۶۲می رسد. تعداد ۱۷۴ کمیته فنی و فرعی جهت پیشبرد فعالیتهای فنی تدوین استانداردهای بین المللی IEC تشکیل شده است که تعداد مدارک استانداردی تدوین شده توسط این کمیته ها تا پایان سال ۲۰۰۹ در مجموع به ۶۱۴۶ عنوان بالغ شده است که شامل ۵۵۲۰ استاندارد بین المللی و ۲۰۷ مشخصات فنی و ۳۵۱ گزارش فنی است.
